Jimmie Tucek was born in Peach County Georgia. Being the daughter of a career Air Force man, she has lived in many interesting places, including a time in Japan. She attended college at West Texas State University, in Canyon, Texas, where she majored in pre-vet (because of her love of animals—especially horses), computer sciences (because of her dad’s love of computers) and finally studio arts (where she found her true love). She also found her husband of 30 years in Canyon, where they lived for 16 of these years. Jimmie and Gary now reside in East Texas, outside of the small town of Avery, where they raise registered cattle, and own their own fine art and framing business.
